Sansui G-9700 right channel no output

Hi all. I just acquired my dream receiver, the G9700. But unfortunately found the right channel does not output any sound. Both power level meters work and show output signal. On headphones both channels work as well.

I hope I can get some guidance here on how to find the fault. I know how to handle a multimeter and might even be able to use the scope function it has :) I can also solder a bit, I used to do simple repairs on old color tv's in my younger days.

What I already did:
- Checked the output transistors for shorts and open circuit, they all seems ok
- Checked the emitter resistors, they measure ok
- Swapped the driver boards, but the fault remains on the right
- Both relays on the F-3072 board actuate

How would you suggest what the best path is to find the fault?

PS does anyone have a good repair and or service manual for this beast?
PPS I already found one here AK Database PDF Gallery - Sansui/Sansui G8700DB G9700 SM

Thank you!

On both right channel on Speaker A and B? There's nothing different from headphones to speakers except a short wire run and ground tie ins on the speaker outputs. Swap your speakers from left/right and see if the problem follows the speaker.

Yes both on A and B the right channel is dead. I also swapped speakers, but the issue stayed with the right channel. I assume the end stage or power output is not used for headphone output, so it probably is on that end somewhere?

Well this is stupid... The ground supply for the right channel (A and B are supplied by the same wire) was put in the connector block unstripped... probably after the spring speaker connectors were changes for banana versions and never tested afterwards.

@Hajidub thanks for thinking with me, you set me on the right path.
