I have a FR-5080, although I have no other Sansui TT's to compare it with I'll say its a great table. Its built well and just simply performs.

I own 5 TT's and its my favorite. The other table I have that is comparable to it is a technics which is also fully automatic.
The contrast between the approach to make a fully automatic TT between the 2 is incredible.
The Sansui is more mechanical in its approach. The Technics is done electrically.
The Sansui 5080 has a very solid plinth and pretty impressive specs. I have never used the 4 channel abilities, but its a cool feature.

Well, I have another SR-838 coming. It happened by accident (part of a package deal with another alpha - my first mosfet unit). I’ve never had two TT’s in the same rig before. Imma feel like a DJ!!!!

I would second the SR-838. But if it has speed problems, it a real bugger to resolve.
