Show us Videos of your systems! Let's see and hear them!

Did you switch them to stereo mode? Tune sounds MONO throughout.

I did! You can hear the "click" of me switching the mics to stereo somewhere around the first 3rd of the video. All that said the speakers are very close together, and I placed the mics 6" away from the speaker so it's not like you're getting any stereo separation.

Lead-in background noises in full-range stereo! Prolly me moving something around. Dang! The mics are just so sensitive! :)

Hello everyone,

I was given an old, low-end Philips device to restore. The cassette recorder and turntable don't work, but that's because the cartridge is missing and the belts on the recorder are destroyed. The electronics work perfectly, and I was even surprised by the sound quality of this device when connected to a DAC via a line input on the Philips unit.

The microphones for recording are placed 2 meters from the small speakers behind my seat, at ear level. It's a bit of a stretch since the unit only has 2x4W output. To add a little warmth below 100Hz, the 46cm subwoofers are running.

Our old, low-end devices can surprise us!

First video of the David's + sub in over a year (!!)
Just moved into a new apartment last week. Still getting things organized.

Testing out room nodes in the 12' x 10-7" master. System sounds a lot nicer than the past two rooms it's lived in (first room was practically a square with a giant bass cancellation null in the center, second one was an echo chamber ≠ acoustically poor). I don't have to push the sub as hard either.

Will break out the external stereo mics next time.:)

Glad to see you back. This thread became such a bunch of womp for me.

Yeah I understand that, but then... Occasionally I'll go back through all you original OP's which re-invigorates my hobby or pick up titles you folks highlighted in your vids and pick up some music I liked. I'm still landlocked in this room waiting for my wife to move her office out in the house where I can take over that space, and I can record a few new vids. Doesn't look like that's gonna happen this year though. ARghhhh....

Garry~

@setup1 Joseph, this like all your other recordings sounds great and induces involuntary toe tapping! When people speak of musicality, the sound of your systems is what comes to my mind.

I also listened to Frank Sinatra, here is an audio recording of one of my systems streaming Frank Sinatra from Tidal during my listening session this past weekend:
