Sorry forgot a plated pic, just process pics - NY strip and camp potatoes. I had an idea to build a better crust. After seasoning with Lawry’s GS and cracked pepper the steak was lightly(?) pressed between paper towels and 1/4” of kosher salt for an hour or so as it it warmed to room temp. Came out great if a bit on the salty side. Next time granulated garlic instead and less time.

Tonight I'm reporting to you from our Airbnb in Budapest Hungary.

Pasta obviously with Truffle pesto and shaved Blackened Garlic cheese on top, plus zucchini, mushrooms, garlic and the last of the Croatian bacon (we were in Zagreb 2 days ago), somewhat seasoned with local Paprika. Side of cheese stuffed peppers.

We had a black plum Palinka as a digestif.

Who likes burgers?

I love burgers but have gotten sick of all the many ways I've enjoyed them.

I was given a recipe for a style of Middle Eastern burgers. I made it for lunch today and it was excellent.

Starting with fresh ground chuck beef (I like em rare so, I ground my own). Would have been better with ground sirloin but I didn't have any today.

No bun is used here; You use a fork and dip the burger pieces into the sauce

The sauce contains diced tomato, scallion, oregano, garlic, parsley, black pepper, cumin, salt, sugar, lemon, grated parmesan, and olive oil
