Well if you really want to know the truth... not really.
It's even more of a stretch to think that Born To Be Wild with Peter Fonda riding a Harley is a car song too.
When the OP said "Best Car Song Not Recorded By The Beach Boys" I for one took that to mean a song about cars. You know... songs about automobiles, hot rod music, that kind of stuff.
Call me insane if you want but that's how I took it. lol
Now if he would have said, "Best Song About Motor Vehicles" that would be another story, but then someone would probably post a song about bicycles so I guess it really doesn't matter.
By the way, I'm just busting on you guys. No ill intent meant. lol
To answer the question that this thread poses: Born To Be Wild and a free, unrestricted stretch of Autobahn ahead works pretty well for me.

Car comes from Carriage. A carriage loaded with goods instead of people ; is still a carriage. Hence a Truck is also a carriage and thus also a carWell if you really want to know the truth... not really.

I was just trying to reply with some 'fun'.Anyways. Chevy El Camino 'truck' songs are allowed? Or 3 wheeler paasenger cars and or cyclecars also all excluded or included? Or a song about a 1928 class A truck put on a 1959 Chevy Impala chassis and drive train..excluded or included?? Is a big 4x4 all terrain type Jeeps or Vans, still enough for this thread? Most trucks are legally just cars and not 'trucks' you see and so on and so forth.
So no. I actually perceived in the threads spirit / songs context; that what drives, has 4 and more wheels and has an engine and can be driven only with a driving license would have been covered by this threads title! Or folks singing a song about a couple making out in a Raliant 3 wheeler or 'truck'
But at least one of the posters obviously doesn't agree with me and 'can't take a joke.'
So 'truck' songs are now banned from this thread! And that fine with me

Nr 1 and 4 are both motor carriages / in short cars! One designed for moving people and the other for 1, 2 or 3 people and goods also referred to as tractor trailer or class A truck or Semi
Note: Human traffickers use and load nr 4 also full with people and use as a bus / coach, but that is felony!
