The Good Morning (Your First Logon for the Day) Thread

Good Morning,

Just woke up , working on my first cuppa.
Mrs. is outside clearing off the cars. Looks like an inch or so already and coming down light but steady. Stupid snow.

Grocery shopping later this morning followed by having friends over for dinner at 4. She's on the carnivore diet, so menu is always tricky. Tonight we'll make crustless quiche with cheese and mushrooms...she'll allow herself to eat that. Maybe put some chicken in it.

Stay safe,
Cheers.

Mornin', it's -6 F and windy feeling like -31 F. It's absolutely brutal out there even though it's sunny.
The car did start and I went out for an espresso, actually two of them.
G-daughter and grandma chomping on blueberry muffins they made last night.
We're staying inside that's for sure.
Normal temps this time of year is 28 F.
Stay warm.

Give your granddaughter an espresso and let her run around the house to save money on your heating bill.

Another 60f day on the way here in the wilds of Wyoming! same expected tomorrow and Monday, but Tuesday I have high hopes for some much needed precipitation. I replaced 3 tubes in my main systems tube amp yesterday, instead of turning on the idiot box this morning, I turned on the tube amp which is now quiet and beautiful sounding. Since I don't see Birds lps anywhere in the house, maybe I'll go buy me some. It's good to be draw to the music again. A couple more improvements shoud get this system back where it used to be.

As superjazzyja stated, pray about everything and worry about nothing are words to live by. However, my financial situation make me worry about just treading water. I've always had a great love and trust in God, and have always been provided what I need to survive. Well, yesterday I deposited another check I received in the mail unexpectedly from my mortgage company for a couple hundred bucks! I've been fretting being short this month, this should get me through.

Don't eat red meat they say. Well, my neighbor gave me some deer meat before winter and I finally cooked it up in a new version of golash. I've been wondering for a while if my body failing me has anything to do with not eating red meat, I been feeling not myself lately but I felt better this morning. I'm not usually sucked into these all or nothing remedies for the human body. So for me it's going to be added back into my diet on a limited basis. My muscles feel better, and that a big thing for me having mixed connective tissue disease. I have two medium size casserole dishes full of the stuff. I'm betting wild meat is better for you than store bought beef. Anyhow, meats back on the menu boys!

Have a wonderful day today and every day for the rest of your life. Don't be content with sitting in your chair, get out there and live a little. My blessing to you and yours, john

Good morning, y'all! We have 69 and afternoon sun here in the valley today. It'll be 45 and partly cloudy at Lake Tahoe. We should be there around noon or so. Last time we were there we found a pizza joint on the north shore that had craft beers, one of which was from our old home town of West Grove, PA. Small world. Biggest business in town when we lived there was a Wawa on the corner with the traffic light. Have a great day, everyone, stay warm!

Update: ~3 1/2 inches on ground, coming straight down, no wind. About same temp as earlier.

Wife's knee appears to be good, she shoveled walk and cleared SUV while I played with snow blower...I really shoulda shoveled. Will go out again in late afternoon.

Last sander was about 1030 last night, no sign of that or plow(s) seen...

Good morning! Partly cloudy but clear to the west, mid 50s F, going to 77. Moon in the SW sky.

Didn't sleep well, think I'm going to skip the rodeo in Sells (hour and a half drive each way for maybe three hours of rodeo isn't appealing to me this morning). I'll take things slow and sit in on the World's Fair zoom from 11:00-1:00. Checked the cold pressure in my tires, the tech got it 2 PSI over the door sticker, just right.

Have a great day!

I don't expect or try to influence others into living their life the way I do, we all have our own path to walk and I'm certainly don't judge other by their beliefs or non beliefs , only by their behavior. I'll refrain from suggesting good wishes in the future for anyone here on audio karma. Since many other have suggested such sentiments as mine , I thought that acceptable. Apparently as usual, I was mistaken. Oddly enough that never happens in my life here, though now and then I get get many woman smiling at me with saying a word. Unfortunately , you cannot communicate that way on the internet. You actually have to use words to express yourself. Only enough, I never expresses the sentiments that are forbidden until I notice others on this thread doing it. It kind of like football, it always the second guy who gets caught breaking the rules. This my last post in the the morning thread, considering the number of thumbs up I have been getting for my posts I thought I was doing ok, again. I was mistaken. Thank you for the kindness many of you have shown me. john

Please don't abandon the thread. Although I'm not a staff member and never have been, it seems like what you said is a gray area at worst. With that, it seems like @BillyTheKid was simply trying to draw your attention to the rules in order to help you avoid being admonished by staff. It's better than being reported.

Good Morning Folks. It is 32f on the frosty porch. We received a light rain yesterday evening that turned to ice overnight. The Sun is shining and most of the frost has melted but for a short time it looked a lot like winter. I've got a few indoors chores ahead this morning and this afternoon fill the ruts and low spots in the driving path which is never ending task.
Take care everyone and have a great Saturday.
Allan

Morning all. Depending on which source you use, its 0°F/-18°C or so, see a slight breeze in the tree branches, but not what I'd call wind. Total snowfall yesterday here was 4 1/2 inches, though by afternoon hard to tell as the light powder moved around so much.

Plan for today is no plans!. Keep safe everyone.

Good morning. It’s 47°F on its way to 63. It appears that this is the last day of unseasonably warm weather for us as our lows will be our highs for a while. I plan to take advantage of it today and get my motorcycle out for a ride. Most years the bike gets put away in November and stays inside until April.

Other that a ride, today I’ll paint some trim at the other house, update one of my web sites, and work on a drawing. Oh, and practice the guitar a bit.

Good morning all! Cold here as well, but it will get warmer next week. We are heading up to our daughter's place this afternoon to watch the game. The boys have been sick, but are better now and no longer contagious. We will stay until half-time, then head back here.

Take care and have a great day!

Good Morning,

The sun is shining brightly on an otherwise cold day, -1F when we got up.

Don't plan on leaving the house today, other that running out to the garage for more pellets.

Basically relax, cook, prep snacks and watch the big game. Shrimp, wings, chips, dip, twice baked potatoes.

No company this year, but there will be a lot of texting .
I'll be watching the game alone while Mrs. Kid reads a book or something....competition where she cares about the outcome gives her stress. Or maybe she'll watch the Olympics instead.

6" of powder snow yesterday, light enough to do with a shovel. Problem is we're loosing places to put it. Hopefully some melting takes place this week.

Enjoy your day, enjoy the game,
Go Pats !
