Good Morning,
Warming trend continues. The long weekend is looking good.. might see mid 40's.
I had a nice visit with Larry yesterday, he's still on the long recovery from his stroke. He's lost so much weight that he needs a new prosthetic leg, the old one doesn't fit right anymore.
He's an amazing jazz piano player, but currently has no instrument. I need to find something for him to play...it would be really good therapy for his hands.
Not much on deck for today. Laundry and other domestic chores, for sure.
@BillyTheKid , you remember them? Maybe not, you're just a puppy yet, LOL
I'm aware of them now. But didn't covet one in 1965. I would have been 6 years old. I was coveting guitars in general, but wasn't aware of any specific models yet.
The new auger worked great.
Glad to hear that. Always a gross job. Home ownership, yay !
Here's a story:
I was talking to Peter on Tuesday. His son just bought his first house in Tolland, a community outside of Hartford that has been in the news for a rash of homes with crumbling foundations due to bad concrete mix.
Anyway, they were supposed to close on Monday...the house had a renter that moved out 2 weeks ago...after which the heat was shut off ! Seller claimed it was 'winterized'. ( We've had sub-zero temps here for that last few weeks). Fortunately they did an inspection prior to the closing and found that the toilets had cracked and the well pump has been slowly filling the basement with water. Nice ! Way to save a couple of bucks on heat !
Needless to say...the deal is off.
You can't fix stupid.
I hope you all enjoy your day,
Cheers.
