The Good Morning (Your First Logon for the Day) Thread

Good Morning Folks. It is 41f on the porch, cloudy with scattered showers this afternoon. Today is a travel day! Later this morning it is off to Las Vegas for tomorrows flight to South Dakota. This afternoon we will check-in an "Off Strip" neighborhood hotel casino in Henderson. It is a small property and freeway close to the vegas airport. I lived in the area for 25 years and tonight dinner will be in long time favorite restaurant, yum!
Have a great day everyone and take care.
Allan

Good morning! Sunny and upper 60s F for the walk, going to upper 80s. Rain in the area yesterday evening missed us. Only thing on the sprocket is to fold yesterday's load of sheets.

This morning I walked the utility road to the east. The cell tower was worked on last week and now there's a pile of replaced gear sitting next to the equipment building. Hopefully there's a plan to pick it all up. If it's not gone in a few weeks I'll report it, although I don't know what agency, if any, has jurisdiction. The house that was used as a church before covid now has a no-trespassing sign and a couple of pickups and RV trailers parked. The longer-abandoned ranch next door has an identical no-trespassing sign, so no more photo treks to shoot the ruins.

Have a great day!

Good morning dear friends!

46° F and cloudy, supposed to rain, high 55. We could go for quite a while without any precipitation at all.

Last night, fog rolled in around 7pm. Then, the wind kicked up. Weird evening.

Finally, we're getting our (stuff) together and meeting for breakfast when we plan to and we are planning to have breakfast this morning, around 8:30.

Probably going back to my friend's place this afternoon and just make sure everything is still good.

God bless you all!
Baking soda for the fridge and freezer?

Turn the power off and see who shows up is one sure way, but don’t get caught. Carriers have long preferred unmarked trucks and sites, but you might get lucky or just happen by out of curiosity. The cell tech will rip that contractor a new one.

Mornin’,
Feeling bad for Carlos our gardener for 25 years. He had a minor accident and the hood of his truck was borked this morning. He has one of those legendary Toyota 1 ton dually stake bed trucks in amazing shape for an old work truck. Otherwise I’m hoping for a play day of some sort. Have a great day,
John

The site has AT&T signs on it, but I'm sure it supports more than one carrier.

The leftovers aren't scattered totally helter-skelter. There is one cardboard carton with all the miscellaneous plastic wrappers, spray can of contact cleaner, etc, carefully collected, which is why I have hope that they plan to pick things up eventually.

The antenna mast is also a power pole for one of the three-phase high voltage lines that parallel the road. I just realized how interesting this makes it for the guys working at the top with the bucket arm going up next to the power lines.

Good morning dear friends!

Negative 10° F, 2 feet of snow on the ground, still snowing and 50 mph winds! High neg 5 with wind chill of neg 30.... April fools!*

The real weather is 50° F and sunny, 60. Supposed to get t-storms later today.

Speaking of April fools jokes, I ordered a coffee at McDonald's, even though they don't have dark roast. I used the kiosk and here's the receipt.

Yep! Ran out of ink.

Waiting for friends for breakfast. Not sure what else is going on yet.

God bless you all!

Good Morning,

Raining right now, kinda dreary.
Yesterday was much warmer....so much in fact that last night I didn't have the pellet stove on ! First night since sometime in October. Won't last, colder evenings are still in the forecast, but at least I can keep it off during the day.
Kinda weird how quiet the house is without the constant sound of the fans running....I've gotten used to that white noise.

Had lunch with the boys yesterday, John the Bassist brought split pea soup.

Not much planned for today. Gonna start packing for our trip on the 11th....I need to find the warm weather clothes and bathing suits.

Probably get some domestic work done around the house.

Cheddar broccoli soup for dinner.

Cheers

Good morning all! Yesterday I went next door to our neighbor's house for a brief chat. We ended up going out for breakfast, I brought a sandwich home for Momma. She wasn't feeling good yesterday and cancelled her invitation to MahJong.

I was able to get through to medical billing and hopefully resolved the refund issue. If we don't see a check in about a month, I'll try again.

I was able to cut the grass yesterday afternoon, the yard looks nice.

Last night we were invited next door for drinks and conversation, Momma declined because she still wasn't feeling well.

This morning she said her laptop was behaving badly. Apparently it was an update last night that didn't go well. After a few restarts it finally repaired itself and is now running smoothly.

This afternoon we're heading up north for our monthly appointment. We'll stop for dinner on the way home.

Take care and have a great day!

Good morning ya'll. 30 F, overcast and going up to 40 F today.
Notifying utility companies re: closing of in-laws home today.
Altima is running great, debating whether to do body work or sell it as is.
Went out for my birthday supper last night.
Still waiting for Spring to show up and stay.
Ciao for now.

That last part makes it easy, the landlord is always the power company that owns the tower. You can start there. No one is to leave their trash behind- ever. It attracts negative attention where the industry goal is to attract no attention at all. Even more so power companies exist at the pleasure of a PUC of some sort. Those folks really don’t like extra work generated by power companies making extra money on the side from wireless tenants.

Good morning! Overcast and 70 F for the walk, area of rain to the north and west, moving slowly SE. Red yucca are blooming, and white oleander in a neighbor's yard.

This afternoon is monthly Photoshop Zoom, but I have a Dr. appointment right in the middle of it. Other than that, I still need to fold the sheets that have been in the dryer for a day and a half.

Have a great day!
