The Good Morning (Your First Logon for the Day) Thread

Good morning. It’s 37°F going to 46with snow predicted for most of the morning. The gym is closed so I sort of get the day off but am thinking about a hike with the dog depending on what the weather does. Not much else planned. Probably do some reading, practice guitar, and work on a few things at the other house.

Good Morning Folks. It is 32f on the deck and cloudy. Rain, freezing rain and snow in today's forecast. Another day with the Grand Kids. Later this morning Alice and I are driving into Sioux Falls and take the Kids to the Children's Museum. The plan is to be home in the early afternoon before predicted snow arrives this evening.
Have a great Friday everyone.

Good morning, y'all! It'll be 75 with sunshine all day here. I got home from my sister's in NC on Wednesday, after a fun week with her, my BIL and my brother who flew in from Houston. We mostly watched all the March Madness basketball games with lots of good beer, wine and bourbon. I hope everyone here is doing well, have an awesome day!

Good morning! Sunny with some very thin high clouds to the south, lower to mid 60s F for the walk, going to mid 80s. From a distance it looks like the cell phone co.'s junk has been removed. I didn't walk that way because there was someone I don't know walking his dog off leash so I didn't want to closely trail him.

The Western Photographic Historical Society Zoom last night was interesting for a change.
One member had a slide show of the big telescopes in Chile. She works on software for them.
Other members were more on topic.
One gave a quick demo of how he mounts tintypes for wall display.
Another one showed an antique "compact" view camera. The design was originally invented in the mid 1800s, but never patented, and variations and improvements were manufactured for decades. It had, for example, the first tapered bellows, which allowed it to fold flatter than earlier cameras and fit in a relatively small wood case, on the order of a foot square and 6 inches deep. Edit: he saw it on ebay and believes it's much more valuable than the seller thought, but has no intention to resell it. He uses it to make tintypes.
The meeting concluded with the usual auction of contributed old junk, at which point I left.

Today: computer backup, a load of laundry, grocery pickup.

Have a great day!

It seems like winter is behind us here on the Cape. Now, we have lots of rain in the forecast. I have told people that I would be happy if the Cape turned into a desert just to not have any precipitation. So far, they have all agreed with me.

But, , the whole "April showers bring May flowers" thing :dunno:

Honestly, I don't mind rain at all, at 130 feet above sea level flooding ain't a problem, , , , and I don't have to shovel it... :D

The May flowers can kiss my ass. Some prickly pears would be nice and they can grow anywhere.

I'm at one of the highest points in Hyannis, but I am sick to death of all forms of precipitation. If you make your way to the Cape this month, you can bring the rain and the May flowers home with you. It's all yours!

Good morning, It’s 38*F going to 65. Our running club is hosting the last race of our winter series this morning. I’m not running but have volunteered to be to event photographer so I’ll be out on the course somewhere. Due to this I’ll miss my car club’s meetup. After that I’ll bake some cookies to share at the brewery this afternoon.

Good morning all! Yesterday we had a company come in and give us a quote for a new shower stall in my bathroom. When the builder installed the existing stall they didn't block it correctly underneath, so it developed a hairline crack in the back corner of the floor. The also didn't seal the shower door track properly and water leaked down into the space below the track and developed mold, which stained the floor of the stall.

I ripped out the old door (that's when I found the mold), and put in a curtain rod, but I didn't like it much. Now I'm pulling the plug and having a new one installed.

Last night we went out to dinner at a local Mexican restaurant. Good food and we also have leftovers for tonight.

In a few minutes I'm going to help my brother-in-law pick up a lawn mower, then we're taking that up to my daughter's house tomorrow.

Take care and have a great day!

Good Morning everyone!

Today I'm gonna tempt the snow Gods...... :yikes:

When I store my snowblowers for the warm months I remove every last drop of fuel and give the float bowls a lil shot of WD40. I've done this for as long as I've owned seasonal equipment and never, not once, have I had carb issues. Stored dry, they start instantly whenever the occasion arises that I need to fuel em up and run them. I know this sounds excessive to some especially since I only run "Trufuel" in them, but it's worked for me all these years and while I have no problem tempting the snow Gods, I pay the utmost respect to the rotten gummy fuel Demons.... ;)

Good morning, y'all! We have 76 and sunny, clouding up a little later. We have the grandson's basketball game later this afternoon, some routine housework and errands before that. The college basketball Final Four games should be fun to watch later today also. Have an awesome day, everyone!

Good Morning Folks. It is 31f on the frosty deck. Another wet day ahead according to the National Weather Service. Yesterday it rained off and on all day and into the night. I am enjoying city life with it's pavement, curb, gutters and engineered drainage:). Today is a combined Birthday Party for the Grand Kids. The twin boys are 4 and the girl is 2 years old. Should be fun for all.
Take care everyone.
