Tube AMPS and Dogs. Is there a connection?

I notice most of the audio forms I visit that have a high number of antique radios or tube amps hobbyist there are either pics of dogs in the avatar or of their equipment.

I really liked someones signature on here that says "be the person your dog thinks you are."

My dog woody (brindle boxer basset) loves to be wherever i am. If im listening to music he is right by my side. His old legs won't climb the stairs to my lab anymore but he will nap at the bottom until i return safely, sometimes for hours. He can't see anything anymore at his ripe old age, but im convinced that frees up his sensory systems for the enjoyment of music. Seriously though, dogs are the best.

Added bonus: Dogs don't spread Toxoplasmosis, which affects over 200 thousand people a year!

Mine is an older golden retriever (11 yo) he follows me around too and then when I turn my music on plops himself right infront of the speakers usually

Probably just that a lot of older men like dogs.

Me, I prefer cats and birds.

Interesting observation. I'd bet the connection goes even deeper/higher with a 'Dog + SET' ratio, same with right brain dominance.

My Golden just turned 8...never met a stranger :). She has a large box of expensive toys but is just as happy with one of my socks (as shown in my avatar).

I used to have a tube amp as my avatar but then my best friend a Golden Retriever female passed away, and i decided to have a pup of one of her offspring in her memory posted. She was the sweetest most gentle 80 pounds you could want in a dog. And smart too. One of her tricks was "recycle". Which when i said it, she would take my empty beer bottle and put it in the recycle bin for a little treat. Here she is with her best buds.DSC05416.JPG

By simple observation, around 30-40% of households in my subdivision has dogs. Some have 2 or 3. I don't know anyone else in the neighborhood that has interest in electronics, or tubes specifically.
Our 4 year old Australian Labradoodle Sadie likes to lay right in front of the speaker too.
Never happened to me but I've heard if dog is barking at the speaker or at least looking at it - you'd better check your amp for instability. Dogs hearing is way outside of human range.

Ha, maybe I can play with feedback amplifiers even though I don,t have a working scope. Just make Abbey Girl into new kind of service dog... Ultrasonic oscillation detector.

So what's your excuse? They are generally posted as a statement of some kind, to be interpreted bluntly without further context aside from what the poster may add to it. What does yours mean? This thread has nothing to do with tubes. Or does it?
After someone posted a pic of their dog and tubes around it made it related with tubes x
