This seems to be the case with him. He had reconed a pair of Altec Model 14 drivers for me. He did good work, but it was several months after the time he'd originally given me. It was only after getting on the forums and questioning his business ethics that he responded and eventually returned the drivers to me. I try to give people a second chance, so I'd sent him a pair of JBL 122a speakers for a recone. I'd removed the cones, glue, and they were ready to recone. He'd given me a 2 to 3 week lead time and it's now been over 3 months and he refuses to communicate on any platform. Funny though, I created a fake FB account and hit him up about a possible recone job and he answered me the very next morning.
I'm going to file with the small claims court on Monday if I do not get a response from him and given that he has done this to a number of people and some have yet to get their speakers or funds returned, this is stealing, plain and simple. In the state of California (where he resides), a theft over $950 is considered a felony.
If enough of you are willing, it could warrant a class action lawsuit. I have a lawyer friend in Fresno who is interested.
