What are you Listening To Right Now? - and more

Hopefully, the powers-that-be haven’t created new problems by sorting out old ones. Had this yesterday while my connection was sketchy. Seems that if your connection is poor or slow, you are considered a potential threat.

I was playing Dream Theater - Quarantième, btw, just to keep the post on topic. Here’s why my connection was poor.

Who is standing in front of a Volvo 1800(E?)!

I while back I bought a set of Grado SR 250 headphones, and have never really used them. The wife was a Neo-Natal ICU nurse (40 yrs) that worked the night shift, no kids at home, I never had a real reason to use them. About 5 yrs ago the wife’s boy gave me a set of Audioquest headphones, for Christmas, I’ve never even plugged them in. Since then with the Benchmark equipment up grade, none of the equipment even has a headphone jack
Headphones are really nice to listen to, for certain types of music... I just view headphones as another viable way to listen to music... I was going to say give them another try, but you don't have a jack, so........... :(

Just cracked into this and wow wee is it hot!! 109 proof, and probably only aged for 2 years as there’s no age statement on it. Punch ya right in the back of the throat!! The bourbon flavor is good, but it’s a young on. Gonna have to let the bottle mellow out for a few months. 7 out of 10. It’s sub $45 bucks so not bad.

Spotify playing random tracks on the rig in the living room and listing to AM radio in the kitchen while I sip bourbon and a beer.
Hey John. From what I've been told by a number of master distillers in Scotland, the aging process stops once it enters a glass bottle. Bourbon and rye would be no different.

Spinnin' now on the Rega P3 with an Audio Technica AT VM745xML cartridge, w/boron cantilever... Gabor Szabo "Dreams"- what a great recording! Great depth of sound, and articulate too... The new cart isn't even close to break in, but sounds very clear, clean, and crisp! :)
