I'm taking a break from Flyscout Ryder's "What I do to prepare" video.
When I rode 132 miles overnight (in the 90's) I had 2 racks hanging 4 panniers & an insulated
bag on the rear rack full of Ziplock bags of Hydrofuel powder for my 2L hydration backpack.
Not the same as cross-country but still a long long ride from Marlborough Mass to
Moultonborough NH. No GPS, just a map on my handlebar bag. It took me about 14 hours.
