What are you Listening To Right Now? - and more

Hey thanks to @needforspeed @djwhy60 @vinnie747 and any other older heads I forgot - spent part of lunch break just now getting off my butt and making that speaker wire antenna!

It sounds great!

I stripped one end of each, ran it into the 300 terminals, then separated but didn’t strip the wires and ran them up behind the mirror to hide it, in a T shape with some painters tape.

Watched a couple Utoob vids with some Java

Kevin from Skylabs did a vid on 9 pieces of HiFi gear that basically failed even though they were actually really great products. The Nak TX1000 Turntable was one of em!. It went for $8000.00 in the early 80s it would automatically adjust the sub platter to compensate for records with mis-centered holes.

Darko discussed the virtues of room treatment especially if a person is spending a multiple of 10s of thousands on a pair of speakers. I tend to agree if a person can afford to drop 30 to over 80 grand+ on speakers. They probably should be sure that their listening room is going to allow the system to function at its full capacity.

Now I'm enjoying some loungey tunes with more Java in my non-treated room except for the mess treatment :)

You hid it behind the mirror? You should be proud of your handiwork and light it up for the world to see. You could be single-handedly responsible for a worldwide revival in FM radio.

Ok. I’ll shut up now. No need to labour the point, I guess.
