What are you Listening To Right Now? - and more

My older brother was the Head Automotive Technician for the Honda Dealers in Soo Ontario for over 30 years he retired a few years back. The S2000 is a Grail car for him. Back in the 1990s Honda Canada used hold competitions for the Technicians provincial and national wide for the 1st # of years it was only open to head Technicians. My bro won the Ontario comps multiple times and the Canadian comp twice.
He must be very good! Hope he can find one.

There are rich folks on the S2Ki site who sold their pristine S2000s for new Porsches or AMG hot rods. And now want to find a used Honda to replace their old one. And can't find any that meet their standards.

Anyone up for a story? Involving a wristwatch? :rflmao:

I'm posting this here instead of in the watches thread in off-topic, in the hopes that I can get some non-watchguy opinions.

This is a Vostok Komandirskie automatic mechanical watch. It is inexpensive yet rugged with its 200 meters of water resistance and its ease of handling vibrational shock.

I bought it from a guy who has dozens of watches, many new old stock. We got into a bit of a heated debate about many things when I expressed interest in purchasing this one. Isn't it funny, how ideologues are still happy to take your money?

So, in continuing the assault on my character, everyone I show the watch to also hates it. But I really like it! I mean, everything aside, it's just a cool-looking, unique timepiece which happens to run like a top. Plus, you're not likely to run into another one in the wild, unlike some of my other watches.

Been wearing it proudly, since I don't think it makes me some kind of Komandirskie just by wearing it :cool:

The face and backplate are real cool. I’d wear it

He almost bought one in the early 2000s but my SIL convinced him the 50 Grand would be better put to buying a house so they sold their house in Town and bought an unfinished house on Lake Superior, when the big water gets really rough the Big Lakers will shelter in the Bay they're on.

My wife is in the car, going, "Hurry up! Really? Taking photos in the rain!"

Women sometimes just don't get it. ;)
