Going through my Sonny Rollins collection on the day after his death. Probably nowadays more people know him from his contribution to Waiting On A Friend from the Rolling Stones Some Girls album than anything else but he was so much more than that.

maaan, i love bruno mars! dude is clean cut, wholesome, pretty much positive and a great performer. in this age of incivility as a style, he is an obvious departure from the usual.
i love that he talks about loving a woman insteada just knockn her back out.
that he sings about commitment when folks ain't loyal. ain't many male artists taking that road when erybody talking about "getting mine."
his new album is really, really good. exceptionally well-produced.
