What tv show are you currently binging?

We've always been fans of Jo Nesb∅'s books, so when the Detective Hole TV series came out on Netflix the binging began. Harry Hole is portrayed by Tobias Santelmann, whose acting in this series reminds me so much of Steve Mcqueen I feel like I've stepped into a time machine...

Finally finished "The Rise of the Raven" NETFLIX 2025) a Turkish effort based on the 1440's/1450's.

Surprisingly, the plot pretty much follows the historical events, wherein one warrior was able to a assemble an army that stopped the Ottoman Empire from taking control of Europe at the time.

Full of mash/crash, slash/bash, and if into armor... you'll get more than your fill.

For me a 3.5/5 effort.

Finished up season 1 of Your Friends and Neighbors on AppleTV.

Entertaining story line with a couple of additional secondary plots. Jon Hamm, who has been killing it lately (Fargo & Landman) is the lead and he does a good job with the various story lines.

I didn't expect much of it but got hooked after first episode and then reading there is already going to be a second season.

I've been watching Scarpetta on Prime. It's ok, but everything is an absolute extreme in the plot. The relationships involved are extreme, the careers of the main players are extreme, everything. It's somewhat too much.

Of course every family has a super talented hacker in this day and age that can crack into anything any time.

Yeah. Dunno. I'll probably watch the rest of the season, but not expecting too much.

I enjoyed "Dark Winds" through this season, but it got so weird in the next-to-last episode that I gave up. Watching "Ted Lasso."

Dark Winds Season 4 - all 8 episodes.

Gotta say, I'm disappointed.

Meandering, mediocre, convoluted, strained dialog, head scratching storylines and character motivation.

It wandered into the cesspool of LA and lost the Southwest spirit which made this so appealing in the beginning.

Season 4 is forgettable, imo - except for the last 10 minutes. Still does not redeem 8 episodes, but there may be hope for Season 5.

Was on a kick for Ian McShane and realized we hadn't ever watched Deadwood. Started watching it this week, Great actors - Carradine as Wild Bill Hickok- wow!
Felt a lot like the Movie Tombstone. But after S01Ep06 last night, we decided we didn't care about any of the characters and the stories were trite.
So we stopped watching. Dark Wind ended Sunday night, and The Audacity - its replacement, just looks dumb.
I am a huge Tony Hillerman fan - his daughter Anne Hillerman's books are ok, but not as good.

Just started two new series on PBS. I'm only one episode in for each on a trial basis to see if I want to stick it out.

The Forsytes - a period 'soap opera'. Usual tropes and subtle modern insertions. This one is maybe.

The Count of Monte Cristo - another period drama. Much more engaging despite the known outcome. This one is more promising.

I've abandoned The Forsytes - just unwatchable.

Continuing with Count of Monte Cristo - compelling story arc, acting, cinemaphotography.

Hey Caledon. What is your source for watching episodes of “The Fugitive “? Hopefully it’s on a streaming service somewhere.

Someone in church recommended Schitt's Creek. Apparently available through Prime at no extra cost.
Watched the first 2 episodes and - just seemed kinda dumb and over-acted.
Nah, not for us ...

I think episodes can be found on Archive.org, with some hunting; also seems to be quite a few on YT as well.
