Which is the Better Receiver? Onkyo or Sherwood?

I currently own a ONKYO Integra TX-DS838 Receiver and am looking to swap it out for a Sherwood S-8300 CP. The main reason being the look of the Sherwood (older silver metal knobs look with wood cabinet) goes better with my set-up than my Onkyo (all black, digital readout).

Can you guys let me know if one would be distinctly better than the other or if I would not tell much of a difference in sound output and performance with one over the other?

Thanks!

The Onkyo certainly has a lot more bells and whistles than the Sherwood. One is a surround sound avr, the other, a stereo receiver. I'd venture a guess that as long as the Sherwood has the features you need that you won't hear a difference between the two. If the Sherwood fits your design aesthetic better, then go for it.

Agreed..!
