Harman Kardon 730 . It's broken Help please

My beloved Harman Kardon 730 has lost the left channel. I can hear faint music at high volume with the balance control hard left. The right channel is a OK.

This problem occurs with both tuner and cd.

Before I hand it over to a techie for repair has anyone ideas on what the problem might be. It has never been repaired before.......not even the top of for an inspection.

Finally, any ideas where I might buy a workshop manual or wiring diagram.

I miss my HK 730.

First off, remove the pre main jumpers on the rear and try it as a pre-amp then an amp.

This will tell us if it is in the pre-amp or amp section.

Check the speaker fuses (if there are any)

The problem is solved thanks to Robisme. When I began to remove the jumpers I found one of the RCA plugs is faulty. Simply moving the jumper gave me full sound in the left channel. A BIG thankyou!
