Apparently he used "high grade carpet" on them. He also used unknown cones on both the upper and lower drivers. The 416's don't have a hole in the dust cap andthe 421's don't have the aluminum dust cap. It looks like he just bolted on an undersized box to the bottom of a real 19. My 19's have plenty of bass as is, I wonder how those sound now with a mid bass MI driver on the bottom.
You all are going to make fun of me, but I actually thought that if the bid didn't get too high, I might try to snipe them... I've since changed my mind. Besides, the Bolero's are doing it for me - for now anyways.

They may sound great, I just don't like the looks. Too big and black for me. Those monsters might scare my freinds and family. Maybe something in blue . .
If they went for a low price it could be worth it to get the 416's and 421's reconed and build some proper boxes for them. Reconing would probably cost about $400 bucks or more for the set.
I have them in the watch list and can't see 19s in there from any direction.
Talk about bastardizing otherwise great speakers. Even with all the extra stuff I can't see these bringing 25% of what the original 19s would have fetched.
Some guys need to be taken out and smacked around for a while for the stupid $hyt they do and this guy deserves a place high on the list.
Whats even sillier is he sounds like he feels he made them better. :screwy: :stupid:
