Hi all,
A while back i grabbed a Sony PS-X70 that needed a ton of work. The speeds were way off and wobbled, it make the infamous "creaking" sounds on both 33 and 45 and the auto functions were wonky.
Well a full recap of the power supply and some adjustments to the hall effect sensor fixed the first few problems.
Now the only thing not working 100% is the arms auto start function. The tonearm lifts just as it should but when it stops its motion and lowers its always shy of the album by maybe 1/4 of an inch. i all ready adjusted the little screw under the plinth and its turned fully clockwise (so at what should be its inner most).
The arm is free of old gummed up lube, the motion is very smooth (both vertically and horizontally). I'd appreciate any help you could offer.
Thanks in advance!
