I picked up a Pioneer PS-112D the other day for super cheap, and after a few hours i'm just about done with the clean up! I haven't the faintest idea about what to do with this turntable (currently I have a td160 and i'm restoring a ar-xa), but I really enjoyed bringing this one back from the dead!
aside from a really detailed external cleaning, i also..
-Cleaned/lubricated the spindle bearing
-purchased a new belt, aftermarket head-shell, and will be installing a Audio-Technica AT90E with new pfanstiehl ATS11E stylus.
-disassembled motor and added a light oil.
-polished the motor-pulley and tonearm.
-cleaning and polished the inner and outer platter lips
-cleaned up the dust cover with novus #2
At some point I also have to break out the soup cans and make sure the platter is level!
