Good morning! Sunny with hazy air and upper 50s F for the walk, going to 70s again. Mountains look hazy. Roller coaster temps expected the next few days, 70s today, upper 60s tomorrow, upper 70s Wed, then around 90 the rest of the week.
Got to the planned three garden RRs yesterday. Started out with a Tesla behaving badly, though. I pulled out of our side street when he was 2 blocks away and was up to 32 in the 30 zone when the following happened. I'm no slouch when it comes to getting up to speed in the Mustang. He zoomed up behind me, honked, and passed over the double yellow, then rolled through a stop sign and turned right with no signal. I'd estimate he was doing well over 40. 35 in the 30 zone is common, but not 45.
Anyway, it was a nice day for a drive up to Oracle. I didn't know how built up things are up that way, until you are within ten miles of Oracle, where there is still a lot of open desert. Interesting to get the north side perspective of the Santa Catalinas. I took LOTS of pics. Decided to do three of many where a train was rolling through a model town or around a curve. Now I have the task of selecting the 25% or fewer best.
Had a bathroom pop-up drain plug (21 years old) break; apparently the lever just corroded through inside the pipe. I'll be getting all four identical ones replaced. I just walked down the street and saw the local plumber hadn't left home yet, so said "Good morning Sonny, I need some work done."
Have a great day!
