They are great speakers. Extremely well balanced across the frequency spectrum and they dont change character or lose anything as the power levels increase. Two and a half way design with the two otherwise identical woofers having different crossover points. They also have a passive radiator monted on the bottom that fires downward (visible in the photos). Only criticisms soundwise are 1. they dont go super low on bass freqs and 2. the tweeter enclosure makes the highs a bit directional, making listening position important. The big non sound quality criticism is that they cost an absolute fortune. But hey, your kids dont need college tuition that bad do they? I was super lucky to get them at a, relatively speaking, low price. They were still the most expensive audio gear purchase I have ever made by far. I enjoyed them and flipped them about a year later. Ive had floorstanding speakers that were better IMO and cost far less, such as Paradigm Reference Studio 100, which go for about $1000 used. They are even more beautiful in person than in the photos. Everyone who came over and saw them had questions and compliments. A Modernist architecture style home with floor to ceiling glass would be an ideal aesthetic match. How do the Niagaras sound?
I just couldn't believe it. There - it - was. That's the way it goes sometimes.

The "Note Hangers" would likely have an airy, open sound, not muffled or constrained, though the high's seem to be missing. I like the minimalist design features and natural wood construction as well.
I had Freid coffin sub. It was pretty cool. Then the dog ate it. I was a bit bummed.
