Hi all,

Does anyone have the spec's of the Power Transformer for the Eico
HF-81, I have a PT from a EL84 amp I used to have and I want to see
if it matches up.

Thanks

Okay I did a voltage test of the Eico PT I get

6.5V to the EL84's (reading both sides at hum control)
6.2v to pin 4&5 of the two rectifier tubes ( reading both 4 & 5 with meter)
and 279v to pin 7 of both rectifier tube (Neg to ground)

So my Olsen PT which is a heavy duty one made in Japan has written on the top

6.3v with 4.2A underneath
5V with 2A underneath
280v with 0.18A underneath
and 117v there also two post that has N and E by them

Here's picture's

All looks good apart from the 5 volt rectifier heater winding which wouldn't suit EZ81's

You could add a 6V 2A transformer for the rectifiers, or change to a 5V one. Probably best to use a solid state rectifier and a dropping resistor.
