Hey all

I listen to all types of rock, mainly listen to stuff like Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Smashing Pumpkins, Tool, Mars Volta, Porcpine Tree and 90s alt rock. All in FLAC of course.

From my research it appears the Shure SE425 would be a good choice. I'm in the £50-150 pound bracket. Willing to go more if its REALLY worth it. The SE 535 are just ridiculously more expensive here in the UK.

Not sure if there is anything else I should consider?

Or any anyone tell me what I really need in terms of like mid ranges, treble etc?

Thanks for your time and any help.

For that kind of music balanced armature IEMs might be a good way to go. They are not all that warm however they have impressive speed compared to dynamic drivers. I think the Shures you're already looking at are balanced armature. You could expand the field by looking into Etymotic Research, Ultimate Ears and Westone.
