After my dad died last year, I am cleaning up my parents' house. Mom still lives there, although that's getting harder and harder. Anyway... Came across this pic of me being in the military 1990/1991, just after a 15 miles march (regular exercise, twice a week). This could be on a motivational poster!

My second family of sons, daughters, sisters and brothers. Two years ago I was accepted -- adopted, really -- into Samburu highlands clan "Lengidi" and there I have remained, in spirit, since I (and several of my sons + a couple daughters) mainly reside in Nairobi for work, etc.

I'm 203cm or 6'8"

I've been struggling for the past 10 months with acute diverticulitis & comorbid malnutrition and have lost nearly 70 pounds, more than 25% of my body weight, in the past year. I'm pleased to report that after an emergency resection on xmas eve that removed 12" of my sigmoid colon, I am recovering; final surgery is hopefully in early June.

Chris, this photo reminds me, ever slightly of one of my favorite actors, Daniel Bruhl. Forgive me, I know not how to type the umlaut.

And I've posted several photos here, of late I recently donated another load of blonde/gray hair to Wigs for Kids. Told them to "take it all". I shaved a chest length beard also.

So now, if you want to know what I look like, draw blue eyes on a hard boiled, peeled egg. That's just about right.
